A full array of unique venues, brimming with Busan's charm, has been added for 2024, further elevating the city as a global MICE destination! MICE visitors to Busan are seeking something different—experiences that are “uniquely Busan.” With the growing demand for venues that offer unique experiences into local culture, these new Busan Unique Venues have been chosen for their capacity to deliver one-of-a-kind experiences exclusive to Busan.

History
In the MICE context, local history serves as a valuable asset for attracting visitors to unique venues. Domoheon, once the official residence of Busan’s mayor; Space OneZ, a renovated old warehouse; Haeundae Platform, the former Haeundae subway station; and the Busan Modern History Museum, which was originally the building of Bank of Korea, are all exceptional locations. Below, we introduce two of these unique venues.

Formerly the official residence of the mayor of Busan, Domoheon has been remodeled into a complex cultural space open to the public, to be used for events like international conventions. It became widely known after the venue was used as a filming location for the TV drama Reborn Rich. It has evolved since then, and today features a café, a walking path, and an outdoor garden, offering visitors a serene urban sanctuary.

Space OneZ is a cultural complex that maintains the charming facade of the 100-year-old bonded warehouse from which it was remodeled. Situated in Yeongdo, Space OneZ offers stunning views of the ocean and the shipyard just outside. With a spacious area of 2,645 m², it has hosted numerous receptions and cultural events. The on-site restaurant features a diverse menu of Western dishes.
Culture and Fun
The distinctiveness of a MICE city’s unique venues plays a crucial role in enhancing its appeal. This year, alongside notable attractions like the Taejongdae Ocean Flying Theme Park, an adventure tourism landmark; the Running Man venue, inspired by the popular TV show; the National Youth Ecology Center, showcasing the flora and fauna of Eulsuk Island; and the Busan Museum of Movies, dedicated to cinematic experiences, two new Busan Unique Venues are introduced below.

Situated in the open expanse of Myeongji International New City, the National Assembly Busan Library is the first regional library established by the National Assembly of Korea. Opened in March 2022, it aims to provide ample space for the preservation of literature of national significance and supports the balanced development of Korea’s regions by being located in Busan. The library offers facilities that are ideal for group activities such as seminars, collaborative studying, and filming, available on each floor.

Performances and Events
Who says a coffee shop can’t be unique? There are cafés in Busan that offer your favorite hot beverages in a comfortable and stylish atmosphere complemented by music performances and events. Among these unique venues are Music Complex Busan, a haven for vinyl enthusiasts; Daniels Tribe, renowned for its live performances; Gonggan 523, a modern complex cultural space; Space Byulil, which features a café with popup exhibitions; and Douce Foret, an ideal spot for smaller events.

Situated in Gijang, Music Complex Busan is a coffee shop deeply connected to the world of music, particularly vinyl records. Its counterpart is Music Complex Seoul.
